What's in a letter??

Well I am going to try this again. I posted this once, but poof it's not there. So the question of the day is What's in a letter? Well not much unless that letter is of course and A. A big, fat, hairy A. As in the first grade received in my college career at Xavier University!! An A!!! I had really sweated over my 3 page reflection paper for Theology. We have to write one for every class. I was so nervous that I just froze up. My wonderful husband went and got me some wine coolers to help the creative juices flowing. Not only did I get an A but the teacher actually wrote the it was an excellent paper. Really she did, I have the paper to prove it. I think I will frame this paper along with my acceptance letter. We shall see what next week will hold. I have my first test in Interpersonal Communications, and yet another paper for Theology. Everyone send me good grade vibes.

Avon anyone???

Well I am now selling Avon for extra cash for school. If anyone is interested please let me know and I will get a book to you. Lots of cool stuff for Halloween and Christmas coming up!! Also remember that you are helping out your favorite college student.

First day of School

Well my first day of school was Saturday August 19. Everything went very well. My professors are very cool and informative. I was afraid that it would be hard to sit in a class for 4 hours and not fall asleep. My professors do a great job of making things very interesting and time just flies by. My son also had his first day of school. He started the 4th grade. This is very traumatic for me for some reason. 4th grade!!! We had set a study schedule in place to help us both get in our much needed study time.

Orientation Day

Yesterday was orientation day at Xavier. I received my ALL card, also known as my Student ID. I have my official parking pass, got my books and found my class rooms. I am all set, I think. Next is school supplies!!!! New backpack, notebooks, pens, pencils, folders, etc. etc. etc. I have been out of school for 15 years I have no idea what school supplies college students need. I can tell you what supplies a 4th grader needs, but have no idea what I need. I don't think that glue sticks and crayons apply here. Or maybe they do. I have my pre-assignment classes on Sunday. I will let everyone know how that goes. Everyone send me good learning vibes, I am sure I will need them as I dust off my brain and prepare to use it again.

It's Official

Well it is official. I found out about my financial aid and I will have my pre-assignment classes on Sunday August 13. I was hoping to do my "back to school" shopping along with Jake, but I will be starting school before he gets back. I am very excited and nervous. Most of all I can't wait to go and get my school supplies. Tomorrow night I have orientation on campus and hopefully, as long as the bookstore is not backed up I will get my books tomorrow. My first classes are interpersonal communication and theology. I am told that theses classes are great jumping back into school classes. I will keep everyone informed of my progress when I have the chance. My very busy life is about to become a lot busier.

Looking forward to a new obsession

Well I guess I have found a new obsession. I have applied to and have been accepted to Xavier University. I will find out tomorrow as to how much I will get from Financial Aid to determine as to how many classes I will be taking. I am aiming towards a Bachelors in Liberal Arts. In other words, I have no idea what I want to be when I go up. Give me some time and I will figure it out, I guess. I guess I will learn to bleed Blue and follow basketball. I bought my first Xavier t-shirt for myself and my son. We were very excited and I must admit that it felt good to say that I am a college freshman. Wish me luck!!

Because Susan is making me

Well my best friend is at it again. This time I have to tell 5 wierd things about myself. The only reason I am doing this is because Susan said to and I am afraid of her. Okay here goes.

5 Weird things about myself.

1.) I am a workaholic and I like it.

2.) I do not like to get into my purse in department stores for fear that they will think I am stealing something.

3.) Tree huggin dirt worshiper.

4.) I have an incredible sense of smell ( I can smell a mouse fart two doors down.)

5.) I am married to my polar opposite.

Okay I even asked my husband to come up with weird things about me. He was nice enough to say nothing. What else is there Susan?? I know you can come up with a whole list of thing.
