Baseball News

My son had his Championship baseball game tonight. They lost 2-1. It was heartbreaking. At least for the adults anyway. The kids didn't seem to mind at all. What a great season they had!! I am so very proud of them and look forward to next year.

My "Big Interview"

Well today was the day of the "big" interview. I think I did pretty well. It was kinda tough and I have alot of thinking to do as to whether or not I even want the position. I'll have to sit and go through the pros and cons. Well actually I guess I will have to be offered the job first, then I can go through the pros and cons. They have a few more interviews to go through and hopefully I will know something by next week. I keep everyone posted.

My New Alarm Clock

My wonderful, super fabulous, very loving husband bought me a new alarm clock today. It looks just like a juke box and plays 4 different Beatles tunes. Now I can wake up every morning to Can't Buy Me Love, A Hard Day's Night, We Can Work It Out, or Eight Days A Week. For those of you that are just scratching your heads. I am a HUGE Beatles fan. So much so that I have just started my collection, but already have the "super fabulous Beatle purse" complete with the "super fabulous Beatle wallet", which goes great with the "super fabulous Beatle phone". I have already started to decorate my dining room around The Beatles. Signage and pictures are plentiful. Now I have this wonderful new alarm clock to add to my collection. Tomorrow I have a very important job interview and will be woken up to the wonderful sound of The Beatles. That should start my day off on the right foot. Everyone with me luck tomorrow.

The latest, greatest, baseball star!!!!

Allow me to brag on my son for a moment. His baseball team is 6 AND 0!!! Oh yeah, these kids are on fire. They are in 1st place in their division!! I am so proud of him, he really has a gift for the game. He has his last 2 games this week before the playoffs. He is one of those kids that makes playing the game look easy. Best of luck to the Red Socks!! GO TEAM!!

A lot to catch up on...

Well a lot has been going on since I last posted to my blog. Lots of work stuff of course. My General Manager has since moved on to a new job. We did have a blow out party for him and we all miss him terribly. I have a few new prospects on the horizon. I interview for another position on Friday morning. I had applied for this job about 5 months ago, and the GM of that property called me on Sunday. I had interviewed for a GM position and am still waiting to hear about that. Not to mention that my old director of sales called me today with yet another prospect. I am once again getting very excited about my future. For those of you not in the hospitality industry, turnover is very high in this field. It is heartbreaking when you find a management team that clicks and works seamlessly, and your key member leaves. I do wish him the best in his endeavors, but the dynamic is gone. Don't get me wrong I love what I do. Good and bad, there is never a doubt in my mind that this is the right career for me. One thing that I can always count on is change, before I got into this industry I did not handle change very well, now it seems to be an everyday occurrence.
